BED_PURE VELVET (get here)
It’s finally time to reveal the secret of my bed, haha! I have never gotten so many questions regarding any piece of my new home so I really wanted to make this a special one. Since I travel so much it took me forever to finish some parts of my flat. It’s hard to get organized when you’re never home! But to give you an update, I am almost ready, the only thing that’s missing is a small kitchen table and some bathroom equipment because these are the two things that need to be individually manufactured for my home. So, before I do a room tour on Youtube I would like to share my two favorite pieces from Casa Xenia: my bed and my bookshelf.
Believe me, I have looked at 1000 beds and none of them seemed perfect. There was always something missing or, when I thought I found the perfect one, it was way overpriced. I didn’t get how it was so hard to find the perfect one until I checked out the Pure Velvet interior and even though it’s a genuine partnership, I really fell for this one like it was love at first sight! I am sooo happy with this beautiful bed, the color, the size and just everything. To me, it’s perfect. Yes, I do love my bed haha! I got some white and blue pillows because, in my opinion, it’s best to keep it clean and simple with that champagne tone and not overdo it with gold or any other colors. It’s my little piece of heaven!
I do love my bed but what gives me the most energy and fills my heart the most is this unique bookshelf. After the next sentences, you will probably think I am the biggest freak in the world but this is my biggest energy source. I am very sensitive to energy so I always pay attention to what gives me energy and what takes energy from me (same goes with people!). A TV, for instance, is very draining, but I still wanted one because I love Netflix ;) When something in my home is unorganized or overloaded it takes a lot of energy from me so I always pay attention to have everything organized as good as possible. My work desk gives me energy because it’s beautiful, elegant, simple and I am always productive! However, nothing I ever owned fulfilled me more than my bookshelf because books are my very greatest passion and it’s like having your own little library with words and pearls of wisdom of the smartest people in the world at home. It’s SO beautiful and SO inspiring. I will never do bad because there is so much great literature out there!
I would also love to recommend you this book: L’Art De La Simplicité (How to Live More With Less) by Dominique Loreau. Just the first chapter that talks about materialism and minimalism. It was my biggest inspiration because it talks exactly how to design your home to get the best energy flow and what exactly kills energy flows. It’s one of the best chapters to me because I believe a lot in Japanese philosophy of living. Enjoy :)
